Prom is one great night that every high school junior or senior tries to remember for the rest of his or her life. Although it’s one night, it lasts a lifetime. It’s when everyone, whether a musician, athlete, or artist, leaves all his or her spikes, balls, paintbrushes, and singing voice at home and comes together as one.
This night called Promenade (called “prom” for short), means a formal dance held for a school class towards the end of the academic year.
The Brook Hill masquerade prom was held at the Lake Tyler Petroleum Club. It started at 8:00 and ended at 11:45. Brook Hill did great that night. There was a poker table and a slushee machine. Prizes included a $100 Barnes and Noble gift card and a $250 Best Buy card. There was also great finger food.
All good things come to an end, but in this case, if you remember it right the memories of prom will last forever. Like I said in the beginning, it’s a time to wear your best dress and cleanest tux and come out with the smile of the Cheshire cat.
Life is worth living, so don’t stress the little things; live with happiness.
Prom goes into my album of some of the greatest moment in life. Happiness is my thing because almost anything can put a smile of my face, but nothing puts a bigger smile than when I look around the room and I see a bunch of beautiful people all as happy as I am–that we’re able to share this moment with each other.
So as a closer, I have to thank Dr. Ward for making all of this happen.
Remember: don’t stress the little things. Just have fun because life is too short to waste on small things. So always smile, try to be happy and if you can’t smile, find me and I’ll make you smile.
