Last Friday and Saturday was the TAPPS District Track Meet. The Guard Track teams had been preparing for this all season and they came ready to compete!
The Boys team finished third overall. Logan Walters got first in shot put and discus, securing district champion in those two events. Evan Hayes got third in pole vault. Alex Hale finished second in high jump. Kris McCune got fourth in the triple jump and fifth in the long jump. The 4x100m relay got first and set a new meet record. Jacob Dumesnil got first and Kris McCune got fourth in the 100m dash. Eddy Briggs got fifth in the 110m hurdles. The 4x200m relay got second. Victor Loolo got fourth in the 200. The 4×400 relay team got fifth in that race.
The Girls team finished fourth overall. Lily Cool got second in pole vault. Nikki Evans got fourth in discus. Bailey Bickerstaff got fourth in the triple jump. Madeline Travis got first, Charlie Niles got third, and Nikki Evans got fourth in the high jump. The 4x100m relay got fifth. Julia Troxell got fifth in the 800m. Raegan Hayes got fifth in the 100m hurdles. The 4×200 relay got fourth. Amber Wright got fifth in the 400. The 4×400 relay got fifth.
The top 4 in each event go on to the regional meet in two weeks, so it looks like we’ll have quite a line up representing Brook Hill.
