Last Thursday was the East Texas Private School Championships at Brook Hill and schools all around the area came to compete. BH has hosted the event for quite a few years now and there is always a great turn out.
The Boys finished second overall in the meet. Logan Walters finished first in Discus and Shotput. Kris McCune beat J.B. Moss’s long jump record and earned a first place finish. The Boys’ 4×100 got first with a time of 43.81 seconds, setting a meet record. The boys’ 4×200 placed first and Victor Loolo got first in the 200, while Tyrone Brown got 5th. Jacob Dumesnil won the 100 and the 400.
The girls team got third overall in the meet. The girls’ 4×100 relay got second and Madeline Travis got second in high jump. Charlie Niles got third in high jump as well. Megan Priddy got second in the 100. Tito Babatunde got 5th in the 100 meter hurdles. The 4×200 and 4×400 relay teams came in third. In her first meet to compete in pole vault, Lily Cool got the second highest height of the day.
Overall, it was a great meet to get under the participants’ belts before the district meet this Friday and Saturday.
