Baseball has kicked off the season now with two scrimmages against All Saints and a couple of tournaments. They are looking pretty good so far, just getting experience under their belts with some scrimmages before district starts. Sophomore left fielder, Matthew Shrode, said, “It has been a rough start. We are just a young team, but we are developing quickly.” When asked about Coach Lemire, Matt said, “He’s a little tough on us, but we need it.”

Softball has also gotten the season off with a swing by crushing ETCA in a scrimmage earlier this week. There are high hopes for them as they begin their season. They also played in the Brownsboro tournament this past weekend.

Girls’ soccer remains undefeated with an 11-0 record so far this year. They are about to make their playoff run in the next couple weeks. There are 4 district games left and they are looking to clinch the district this weekend and head into the playoffs on a high note. The Lady Guard is trying to repeat a state championship. They also clenched a district championship this past week!

Boys’ soccer is undefeated as well and they clinched the district championship this past week with another win! They are also going to make their playoff run in the next couple weeks. They are trying to make it all the way to state this year!

Boys’ Varsity golf placed second in their tournament last week, as the JV took first in theirs. The young varsity team is trying to repeat a state championship. They are looking really good so far and their dream looks promising.

Girls’ basketball ended the district season 5-4 after falling to Frisco Legacy earlier this week. Avery Langemeier, Point Guard for the Lady Guard, commented, “We had a great season and improved a ton from beginning to end. We had a better team bond this year compared to last year. I think we’ll be even better next year because we’ll be together again; the whole team will be back, except for Morgan Fore, who was the only senior.”

Boys’ basketball continued their playoff run this week by beating Colleyville Covenant. They are looking to make it far into the playoffs and even make it to the state game.
